Over the hill and across the way...
God made vs man made.
Double rainbow. Quick snapshot while getting out of the car shows how beautiful Hawai'i is despite the rain.
Sliver of color
Amazing accidental capture of a band of stars while I was shooting random shots of the moon. I was actually trying to capture the light of the moon on the water because the moon was so full and bright but the water didn't show, it was too far down and there wasn't enough light reflecting off of it to transmit to the camera from so far away. How lucky am I to have caught some stars though?

I was at the Moloka'i lookout just before Sandy's Beach on the island of O'ahu, Hawai'i. There was little to no street light as I was at a black lookout at night. I wasn't expecting to capture stars because of how bright the moon was and the cloud coverage. I'm glad I caught a few bands of stars in there!!
A view of Makapu'u beach and the Waimanalo coastline from the lookout on the Makapu'u trail hike.
A random tree as you reach the top of the Makapu'u trail. It's windy right at this spot which provides a nice cool down from the hot, blazing sun.
Whitewash. This photo was taken from high up of a rock getting slammed by the waves below. If I were lower and closer to the scene I would have done a long exposure but at this height, I just wanted to capture the beautiful blue colors and the spray as it rolled over the rocks.
Lighthouse. Just a random view of the lighthouse half way up the trail...well a little more than half way :) The ocean seems so endless.
