A view of Makapu'u beach and the Waimanalo coastline from the lookout on the Makapu'u trail hike.
A random tree as you reach the top of the Makapu'u trail. It's windy right at this spot which provides a nice cool down from the hot, blazing sun.
Whitewash. This photo was taken from high up of a rock getting slammed by the waves below. If I were lower and closer to the scene I would have done a long exposure but at this height, I just wanted to capture the beautiful blue colors and the spray as it rolled over the rocks.
Lighthouse. Just a random view of the lighthouse half way up the trail...well a little more than half way :) The ocean seems so endless.
This is what the Makapu'u lighthouse looks like from the top of the hike in the gusty wind as I slightly hang my camera on the side of the railing to get an unobstructed view of the lighthouse. The water was so blue that day. What a blessing!
